My name is Lauren Robbins and I am the new Counseling Intern at Roots to Wings. I am in my final year of my Master’s Degree at McDaniel College and received my Bachelor’s Degree from Towson University. My background and experience consists of Family Health Coordination and Counseling in a hospital and home setting. I am Maryland born and raised. My roots are in Maryland but I am drawn to other cultures and experiences and consider myself a World Traveler. From a very young age, I have always been drawn to connecting with and helping people, which led to my career in counseling. I seek to understand the meaning and purpose of human behavior and why we do the things we do.
I am interested in working with children, adolescents, and adults with a focus in trauma. The past does not define who you are and what you will become. I believe in the importance of helping people become their most authentic selves. Together let’s conquer the negative feelings of self doubt and move towards greater feelings of self awareness and love through self exploration and improved coping skills. Let’s see what can happen once we begin that journey.
